FORUM "DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE REGION"

5-6 March 2018 The Forum «Digital Transformation of the Region» was held with the support of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and was the first large-scale event dedicated to the digitalization of the region.

Among the developments specializing in digital technologies, the project of the company Avrora Robotics «MARS» was presented as a sample of an unmanned vehicle.

The first, youth day of the forum began with a meeting in the format TED Talks, at which the governor of the Ryazan region Nikolai Lyubimov acted as a speaker. The event was attended by the general producer of Match-TV Tina Kandelaki and the founder, CEO of 1-S Rarus, Dmitry Kazachkov. During panel discussions and thematic sessions, including on visiting areas, Ryazan students presented their developments in the field of health, sports, transport, housing and communal services, ecology and a number of other spheres.

The second, final day was more intense. Top-managers of large companies, representatives of expert and business communities and heads of state authorities became its participants. They discussed the opportunities and priorities for the development of the Ryazan region in the context of the digital economy, key issues of cooperation, adopted the successful experience of the region’s innovative business.

The governor told about a number of projects aimed at digital transformation of the region, some of which are already under implementation. This year, on the basis of the former Ryazan Higher Military Command School of Communication, the Ryazan Innovation Scientific and Technological Center (INTC) will open, which will unite the potential of leading enterprises ready to introduce developments into production. Global changes, according to the head of the Ryazan region, will occur until 2024. The projects will be financed from the regional and federal budgets.
